Wendy’s Retail-Robin here!

Needless to say, I work at Wendy’s. Every year during the Lent season (a period of time starting on Mardis Gras and ending with Easter) Wendy’s offers a fish sandwich (to comply with Catholics that cannot eat meat on Fridays or those who have given up meat for the holiday).

The issue is that the fish sandwich is only available during those few weeks. For months afterward we still get orders for the item and almost every time I’m met with sheer anger and outrage when I have to tell the customer its no longer available. If I were in charge I would gladly put it on our permanent menu just to shut you up, but I’m only a cashier and can’t do a whole lot on the corporate level. 

Ex Wendy’s Robin here… And may I add that I’ve also had people scream at and mock me because we didn’t carry the fish sandwich year round.

I cried tears of happiness when I finally left that place.

Maybe if we showed all the world leaders Tom Preston’s artwork they’d all develop a mutual hatred for him and then realise they’re not so different after all and decide we should all live and work together to make the world a better place.

A little backstory to this clip before you watch it:

Will Smith’s father abandoned him and his mother when he was a child, and when Will was finally getting into show business and making a name for himself, he tried to sneak his way back into his life like nothing happened. Will co-wrote this episode, and James Avery (Uncle Phil) said “this scene was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to shoot in my life. Every emotion, every word.. that was Will”

Will was actually supposed to play it off and then walk away, and there was originally an alternate scene that was supposed to happen, but he actually completely cut out what was supposed to be said, and did all of his own dialogue. The hug at the end of this scene is completely genuine, and this was a stepping stone in Will’s career where he started to take on the “do what feels, sounds, and looks right” approach to his acting.

This scene always made me tear up!

Jen, you do know the paragraph is a total lie and that Will Smith and his dad have always gotten along great, right? LOL 

Great scene, tho.

Finally, I changed my DA name to something I can actually tell my friends without them looking at me with pity. 

I’m so happy.
